Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Centre For Excellence
Sphoorthy Engineering college established Dr A.P.J ABDUL KALAM CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE in the year 2015 to educate students on Continuous Value-Added Programs & promote Innovation and Entrepreneurship practices within the campus.
In the Year 2017, Sphoorthy Engineering College received a grant from Govt of India under ministry of Science and Technology & DST (Dept. of Science and Technology), which Sanctioned NEW GEN IEDC (Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre) with 2.87 Crores during the year of 2017 for a duration of 5 years. The funds are to be used towards 85 Student Innovative projects under NIDHI (National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations)

- IOT-Raspberry Pertaining by trained faculty and Association with LABWIRE TECH.
