Dr. B. M. Kannan is an Automobile Engineer, having done B.E. Automobile Engineering from IRTT, M.E in Automobile Engineering from MIT, Anna University and Ph.D. from NITTTR, Chennai. Worked in several core industries like Ashok Leyland, Autolec, TCS, and Siemens for about 6 years and also worked in different reputed Engineering Colleges and universities for 21 years.
He is a frequent speaker in industry and academic events. His Doctorate is in Automobile Engineering and Engineering Education. Using thus above he trained more than 2000 Engineering and Polytechnic Faculty on different titles, ranging from IDDS (Instructional Design and Delivery Systems) to Creativity in Engineering Education.
He anchored various international HR connect and women empowerments programs for participants from more than 27 countries under MHRD, India scheme through NITTTR. Charismatic and persuasive leader featuring expertise in public speaking, Hypnos sustained motivation and media relations with an extensive background in Academic expertise and research related to Teaching – Learning.
Dynamic orator with easy and persuasive language able to enthralls people to imagine and live to that. Personable and responsible professional capable of moving individuals into positive thinking assertive personalities. Highly motivated and experienced coach focused on developing confidence and social skills in individuals to foster their personal growth.

Absolute academic is diversity, equity, and inclusion by nature and structure. Today academic world going in this direction not because of original intent but due to external challenges with the inclusion plan which is naturally using technology in all avenues of teaching-learning. As dean of the College, I am extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, experiential-based education that our college has upheld since its founding. We at Sphoorthy Engineering College in the helm of experiential technology education to form holistic personified professionals which is a paramount necessity in the technology-based society. Recognizing that career paths change, the best preparation for the future of work is to gain an understanding of all aspects of technology, and business, including leadership, entrepreneurship, data analysis, decision-making, negotiation, conflict resolution, consumer behavior, finance, and accounting locally and globally.
