Dr. V S Giridhar Akula, Principal at Sphoorthy Engineering College, has 29 years of experience in teaching and 2 years in industry. Prof. Giridhar obtained his Ph.D. in CSE from JNTUA. He has published over 120 papers in reputed national and international conferences and journals.
He is a Life Member of ISTE, a member of the Computer Science Teachers Association, USA, a Senior Member of the International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (Singapore), a member of CSI, and a member of the Indian Computer Education Society. He was awarded "Best Computer Teacher" in 2010 and 2012 and received the Best Promising Engineering Teacher National Award in 2013.
He serves as an editorial board member for 12 international and 7 national journals. Dr. Giridhar is a reviewer for IEEE and Elsevier journals. He has authored 8 textbooks and 9 book chapters. Additionally, he has organized international conferences in Malaysia, Nepal, Delhi, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Coorg, Mysuru, Bombay, and chaired numerous sessions.

Don’t go back to normal. It might look and sounds ridiculous at the casual and formal outset. Let us perpetuate this indeed.
Absolute academic is diversity, equity, and inclusion by nature and structure. Today academic world going in this direction not because of original intent but due to external challenges with the inclusion plan which is naturally using technology in all avenues of teaching-learning. Therefore, my humble request is Don’t go back to normal.
As Principal of the College, I am extremely proud of the rich tradition of providing practical, experiential-based education that our college has upheld since its founding. This is the right time to make confluence between endowed inheritance and new normal technology inquisition in the right frame and picture. Therefore, my humble request is Don’t go back to normal.
We at Sphoorthy Engineering College in the helm of experiential technology education to form holistic personified professionals which is a paramount necessity in the technology-based society. Recognizing that career paths change, the best preparation for the future of work is to gain an understanding of all aspects of technology, and business, including leadership, entrepreneurship, data analysis, decision-making, negotiation, conflict resolution, consumer behavior, finance, and accounting locally and globally. We resolved to acquire this with the help of technology in education and every walk of life on our campus. Therefore, my humble request is Don’t go back to normal.
