The Department Of Mechanical Engineering at Sphoorthy Engineering College is well established with experienced faculty, spacious classrooms and well maintained laboratories. It in houses a departmental library with a wide range of books to serve all years of students. Program educational objectives

PEO – I :
To produce mechanical engineering graduates to practice ethical values and have a successful careers in industry/entrepreneurship.
PEO – II :
To provide an academic environment for students to learn about the latest technological developments/contemporary issues and to be lifelong learning.
To impart knowledge to the students and encourage them to participate in the activities associated with professional bodies.

PSO – I :
The Mechanical Engineering Graduates will be able to work in power-plants and manufacturing industry in the sphere of operation and maintenance.
PSO – II :
Ability to identify, analyze and solve engineering problems relating to mechanical systems together with allied engineering streams.
